R&S: Why are we bombing Libya? Why should we even care?

My tax-dollars are being used to help fight for the freedom of third-world citizens who have done nothing for me. Why should my hard earned money be used to police the world and defend people of the third-world? If citizens of other countries want freedom, they should fight for it or leave their country. It's that simple. I know I will be called a heartless monster, but I want the taxes I pay to benefit me and the American people. Is that so wrong?
