Does anyone know the kid's book about different colored animals?

The book talks about animals but with the wrong colors matched up. The book starts with "I've never seen a purple cow. I never hope to see one. But I can tell you anyhow. I'd rather see than be one." I know that this is a poem but it was also in a book I read when I was a little kiddie!
